CTCSA is excited to announce that a new Charter Schools Program (CSP) grant competition is launching in Summer 2024, giving applicants the opportunity to access funds for the opening, expanding, or replicating of high-quality charter schools in Connecticut. This competitive grant competition is administered by CTCSA and distributed through the Great Schools for Connecticut (GSCT) Project. CSP Intro and Request for Applications (RFA) Webinar

The GSCT team will walk prospective applicants through the two stages of the application - the Eligibility Check and the Request for Applications. We will provide an overview of the SurveyMonkey grants application system, the scoring rubric for submitted applications, documentation required to be submitted with the application, and touch briefly upon the programmatic monitoring and reporting requirements for successful applications.

CSP Budget Support Webinar
May 22 at 10:00 a.m.
This webinar will provide an in-depth overview of the requirements, characteristics, and structure of the CSP program budget and how the program budget intersects with the school’s larger operating budget. CTCSA staff will demonstrate how to complete the budget template that must be submitted as part of the school’s CSP application. We will define allowable costs and provide instructions on how to budget for the CSP grant and expectations for monthly and quarterly financial reporting. Since the grant is reimbursement-based, CTCSA staff will provide an overview of the monthly reimbursement request process and payment cycle. Both the primary contact for the CSP grant application and the school’s finance contact for the grant application are required to attend this webinar.
